Air travel is something that has benefitted us all as individuals, and continued innovation within the aviation industry means that we are able to connect with others and see more of the world than ever before. It is hard to believe that it has only been 111 years since Wilbur and Orville Wright designed the first powered aircraft and made four brief flights at Kitty Hawk, which subsequently established air travel as a viable global practice for one and all.
While Wilbur and Orville Wright may be synonymous with aviation and air travel, however, there is one brand that has bridged the gap between formative aeroplanes and today’s marketplace. This is KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which launched its very first passenger flight in 1919 and remains a leading market player as we approach the end of 2014.
